Burnley’s retained list is likely in the coming days, with a weekend deadline for informing players of future decisions.
Under EFL rules, the Clarets have until this Saturday – two weeks after their season finale against Millwall – to publicly announce which players they will keep and which they will let go.
The EFL rules state unequivocally that clubs must officially notify players by the third Saturday in May, with clubs in play-off campaigns granted an extension of four days after their final match.

Clubs are not required to make notifications about their’released and retained lists’, yet they are often disclosed.
It’s understood Burnley’s retained list is likely to be published early next week.
The Clarets have numerous high-profile players out of contract this summer, most notably CJ Egan-Riley and Josh Brownhill.
Clarets manager Scott Parker recently stated that he was “confident” the club will be able to sign them to longer-term contracts, but there has been no word on their futures.
In recent days, various sources have indicated that French club Strasbourg is close to reaching an agreement, but West Ham is still believed to be interested.
Brownhill, Burnley’s captain and leading goalscorer, will also have many suitors. Ashley Barnes, a club legend, could also go until a new contract is agreed upon, as his short-term deal signed in January is about to expire.
Nathan Redmond, meanwhile, is also out of contract, though the club does have a one-year option on his current deal. In the meantime, Jonjo Shelvey appears to be moving on.
Bashir Humphreys, Jaidon Anthony, Marcus Edwards, and Zian Flemming will all have their loan deals made permanent. As of now, it appears that Jeremy Sarmiento will return to his parent club Brighton.
