Cardiff city is still looking for a manager, and they have been encouraged to express interest in a previous Championship manager.
During the 2024–25 season, Cardiff City was relegated to League One, and both Erol Bulut and Omer Riza were fired.
Following a brief stint as interim manager of the Welsh team, Aaron Ramsey has advocated for reform at the club.
It is believed that a new manager is on the way, as EFL Analysis discovered earlier this week that Michael Beale is most likely to be named manager of Cardiff.
But according to a Sky Sports analyst, the team will be open to hiring a new permanent manager.
Ruben Selles will be “interested” in Cardiff City.
When Hull City announced earlier this week that they had fired Ruben Selles, the supporters were incensed.
It was known that the Tigers’ management was unhappy with their performance at the close of the 2024–2025 season, as they only managed two victories in nine games.
But according to Sky Sports analyst Lee Hendrie, who spoke over the weekend, Cardiff will now be considering hiring Selles as their new manager.
“Cardiff is obviously going to be interested in Ruben Selles,” he told Football League World. Now that he’s available, I wouldn’t be shocked if they decided to push and pursue that deal.
He seems like a perfect match for the football team. Cardiff needs a makeover, a reconstruction, and some new ideas.
For both Selles and the football team, it would be a new beginning. Therefore, I believe that the two would get along well.
Ruben Selles’s record with Hull City The board, not the manager, has been held accountable for the team’s recent downturn, casting doubt on Selles’ dismissal.
The Yorkshire team finished the previous season in seventh position, three points outside of the play-off spots, when he took over as manager on December 7, 2024.
The 2024–25 season saw a significant decline, and Hull’s sole chance of remaining in the Championship was due to their goal differential.
Selles managed the Tigers for a total of 28 games, winning nine, drawing seven, and losing twelve.
