Norwich City first team coach Jack Wilshere at Soccer Aid
Jack Wilshere, the head coach of Norwich City’s first team, will be attending the Soccer Aid event that will take place at Old Trafford in June of this summer.
During the match between England and the Rest of the World, which will take place on June 15 at Manchester United’s Theatre of Dreams.
The former Arsenal and England midfielder comes together with other former pros and celebrities to collect money for the United Nations Children’s Fund!
Although Wilshere served as an interim coach for two games during the final Championship games of the previous season, he was not considered for the position of head coach, which would have been the permanent replacement to Johannes Hoff Thorup for the Canaries.
The 33-year-old continues to be under contract and is a member of the coaching staff at Carrow Road while the search is ongoing.
However, he made it very plain during his two weeks in interim control that he is prepared to take on the role of head coach.
At the beginning of this month, Ben Knapper, the sporting director, stated that he will schedule additional discussions with Wilshere over his future in Norfolk.
In the same way that Narcis Pelach was terminated in order to join Stoke City, which was the move that first prepared the way for Wilshere to join the Canaries, City would be entitled to compensation in the event that a potential club made an offer for Wilshere.
The Soccer Aid charity game is set to take place eight days before City’s staff and players return for pre-season training. The game will benefit the organization.
Wilshere is one of the confirmed members of the lineup, which also includes former Lionesses Toni Duggan, Steph Houghton, and Jill Scott.
Gary Neville and Paul Scholes, who were once members of the international side, are also included in the lineup.
