Watford FC sent warning over Peterborough United transfer deal.

Hector Kyprianou, a rumoured Watford signing, is not a top-six Championship player, according to Football League World’s Peterborough United fan pundit.
According to Santi Aouna on Wednesday, the Hornets are set to sign the highly-rated League One midfielder.
When his contract with Posh expires, the 23-year-old Cypriot international will join the club, which is now managed by Italian manager Paulo Pezzolano following Tom Cleverley’s dismissal. He’ll reportedly sign a long-term contract.
Kyprianou has been with Peterborough since signing from Leyton Orient three summers ago for more than £400,000. He went on to play 140 games for them in all competitions, winning the EFL Trophy twice (the second final, against Birmingham City, in which he scored) and making it to the League One play-offs twice.

According to FLW’s Peterborough fan pundit, Alex Batt, despite his potential move to the Championship, Watford should not expect him to be a game-changer for their squad.
Watford sent Hector Kyprianou a warning.
He believes that, while Kyprianou will be able to compete in the second tier, the 23-year-old isn’t ready to play for a top-six club.
“I think there’s no doubt that Kyrpianou is a Championship-level player, but is he a player who will help you push for the playoffs? I am not overly convinced. He’s a good player, but not a great player, in my opinion,” said Batt.
“He’s very safe and solid in the middle of the park, but I look at players we’ve lost in previous years, such as Jack Taylor. Jack Taylor was a ten times better footballer than Kyprianou, and he struggled to make an impression at Ipswich Town, particularly as a starter – he was mostly used off the bench – despite being significantly better than Kyprianou.
“Like I said, he’s a good player. I do not think he is a great player. I believe he is a championship-level player; I just don’t believe he is a play-off contender right now, but he could be.”
Kyrpianou’s Watford move may reveal his level.
The best way to gauge how excited you are about your team’s new signing is to consider how the club they are leaving feels about them. This does not work in every situation, and Batt certainly does not speak for all Peterborough fans, but his thoughts on Kyprianou are quite telling.
Watford finished 14th in the Championship this season, nine points behind Bristol City in sixth. The defensive midfielder may improve things at Vicarage Road, but it’s easy to see why he’s joining a club in their current position rather than one competing for a post-season spot on the final day of the season.
