Celtic Star Spotted at West Ham Game Ahead of Potential Move

Daniel Cummings is expected to leave Celtic this summer and join West Ham after being observed at their game against Nottingham Forest. The youthful striker was spotted in the stands, which appears to be the clearest indication yet that he is on his way to the Premier League club.

The 19-year-old has been in excellent form this season with Celtic’s B club, netting 23 goals in 28 Lowland League games. He also excelled in the UEFA Youth League, scoring six goals. His outstanding exploits drew the attention of several clubs, but it was West Ham who made the most significant transfer.

West Ham made a £500,000 approach to sign him in January, but Celtic declined. Since then, the London club has worked on a strategy to bring him in when his contract expires this summer. With the transaction

completed, West Ham are anticipated to pay Celtic a development fee of roughly £300,000 in total.

Cummings made his senior debut for Celtic earlier this year, coming on as a substitute in a Champions League game. But it appears like his time at the Hoops is coming to an end, with West Ham reportedly offering a smoother path to first-team action.

Graham Potter is known to be a major fan of Cummings. According to reports, Potter and club legend Mark Noble have both been in talks with the youngster to encourage him to move south. They apparently promised him opportunities with the first team next season.

Brendan Rodgers had intended to keep Cummings at Celtic, but he recently confessed it is difficult to prevent young players from pursuing moves to England. He’s advised that not all agents have the player’s best interests at heart, and that young footballers should exercise caution when making major decisions early in their careers.

For the time being, Cummings looks set to join the Premier League this summer. His participation at the West Ham game is just the latest indication that a deal could be announced soon. It appears that Celtic will lose another brilliant youngster before he has a chance to get into the first team.
