Johannes Hoff Thorup’s true feelings on QPR manager role as former Norwich City boss holds talks.

Johannes Hoff Thorup could be back coaching in England soon, as talks with QPR continue, but EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that they are not the only club interested in his services.
After being hired by Norwich City last summer, there were high expectations that Johannes Hoff Thorup would develop an exciting and, ultimately, successful project at Carrow Road.
However, following a disappointing season that saw the Canaries finish in midtable obscurity rather than the Championship play-offs, the decision was made to part ways with Thorup.
We were the first to report that Norwich were considering letting Thorup go following their heavy defeat to Portsmouth in April, and now EFL Analysis has another exclusive story about the Danish manager and what his next job could be.

Johannes Hoff Thorup is assessing his options amid the QPR link.
Speaking with our Chief Football Correspondent, Graeme Bailey, about the links between Thorup and the top job at QPR, we can confirm that talks have occurred.
According to reports, QPR values Thorup’s ideas and football philosophy, which align with the club’s goals. Thorup is considered a good fit for QPR, at least in theory.
Thorup is said to be considering all of his options, which could be quite a few.
Thorup is thought to be interested in managing clubs across Europe this summer, but we believe he is eager to return to England.

What happened to Johannes Hoff Thorup of Norwich City?
Obviously, given the talent Thorup had at Norwich, 13th place is not good enough.
However, a recent video emerged demonstrating the type of poor attitude and mentality Norwich players displayed in the final stages of the season, and fans are understandably dissatisfied with what they saw.

Thorup also spoke openly about the miscommunication at the club. It sounds like he was told to build for the future before the Norwich hierarchy decided they wanted to compete in the play-offs. By then, it was too late.
It was an unusual situation, as Ben Knapper’s plan for Thorup clearly went awry. The Canaries are still looking for their next manager, with Jack Wilshere in temporary charge.
That is also a complicated matter. Wilshere was thought to have the job in the bag until recently, when those in charge changed their minds, leaving the young coach completely out of the running.
