‘Don’t disagree with that’: What Ally McCoist admits about Matt O’Riley at Celtic as Jeff Stelling makes Brighton fan claim

Matt O’Riley, a Celtic icon, returned to Premier League action for Brighton with a bang against Liverpool yesterday night.

O’Riley has had a difficult start to his Brighton career, as a nasty injury sustained on his debut sidelined the former Celtic player for months.

The Denmark international has spent much of the season on the sidelines, making brief cameos for Brighton, but last night, the Celtic star demonstrated why he was worth £25 million.

O’Riley dazzled Brighton fans with his late assist in the 3-2 win over Liverpool, and now Ally McCoist and colleague talkSPORT host Jeff Stelling have made two assertions about the 24-year-old.

McCoist was reacting to O’Riley’s performance last night, and as he waxed lyrical over the former Celtic player, co-host Stelling stated that he still has a lot of work to do to win over Brighton supporters.

Stelling: “I think he’s still to win over a lot of the fans down there.”

McCoist: “I don’t disagree with that.”

Stelling: “But that will help.”

McCoist: “That’s the way to do it.”
