On Thursday, May 22, the 16-member India Under-19 team that will travel to England for a pivotal trip was formally named by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The team includes Ayush Mhatre and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, two well-known players from the current IPL 2025 who both created a lot of noise with their performances.

The captaincy for the forthcoming England tour has been given to Ayush Mhatre, a young player from the Chennai Super Kings (CSK). “The Junior Cricket Committee has selected India’s U19 for the forthcoming tour of England, scheduled from June 24 to July 23, 2025,” the BCCI said in an official media release, confirming the choices. The tour includes two multi-day matches against England U19, a five-match Youth One-Day series, and a 50-over warm-up match.
