After losing to the Indiana Pacers in five games in the second round of the playoffs, the Cleveland Cavaliers are still recovering. Although the Cavaliers suffered numerous ailments that hindered their performance against Indiana, there are still valid concerns regarding whether roster adjustments are necessary this offseason.
The Cavaliers were expected to make their first long postseason run since LeBron James left town in 2018, but they failed to overcome the second-round obstacle that had prevented them from doing so the year before.

A suggested trade that would send James back to the Cavaliers in return for Jarrett Allen and De’Andre Hunter was one of the topics of a recent Q&A session on YouTube, which was hosted by Los Angeles Lakers insider Jovan Buha of The Athletic.
After that, Buha explained why he thought this would be questionable from a Lakers standpoint.
“I have a few inquiries regarding Jarrett Allen,” Buha stated. “I don’t want to get too worked up with Cleveland’s early departure. The mismatch and some of the injuries they were dealing with, in my opinion, had some valid reasons. My opinion of Jarrett Allen has somewhat deteriorated.
It would seem doubtful at this stage that the Cavaliers would take a dramatic approach this offseason and instead blame injuries and a bad game against the Pacers for their early playoff departure. The prospect of James rejoining the team he almost created from the bottom up in the 2000s and then won a championship for in 2016 is undoubtedly interesting, though.
James would definitely fit the Cavaliers’ wing position, which is the one position where they lack depth.
