Birmingham City will wait to see if they can keep two loan players from this season, according to Birmingham Live.
Under Chris Davies’ leadership, Blues broke the EFL points record and returned to the Championship in impressive fashion.
Birmingham have loaned two Rangers players, Kieran Dowell and Ben Davies.
Former Rangers manager Philippe Clement deemed Dowell surplus to requirements and sanctioned his loan move south of the border.
Davies and Dowell have both been outstanding for Birmingham City, helping Chris Davies’ side to promotion to the Championship.
Chris Davies has expressed admiration for both players, and Blues are expected to want to keep them.

The Rangers duo are set to return to Ibrox after their loan spells with Birmingham expire, and the Blues will need to work out a deal with Rangers to bring them back.
However, it has been claimed that Rangers will only be able to provide clarity about Davies and Dowell’s futures once a new manager arrives at Ibrox.

Rangers are currently without a manager after interim manager Barry Ferguson and his coaching staff left following their season-ending game against Hibernian last weekend.
The Gers have been linked with a number of candidates, with sporting director Kevin Thelwell, Rangers CEO Patrick Stewart, and 49ers technical director Gretar Steinsson leading the search for a new manager.

According to reports, there is currently no preferred candidate, so decisions about Dowell and Davies’ future will go unanswered for the time being.
Former Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has been linked with a return to Ibrox, and Sheffield Wednesday manager Danyy Rohl is also a potential candidate.
Birmingham will keep an eye on Rangers’ managerial situation, hoping that the Gers will soon be able to decide on the future of the Ibrox duo.
