Leed United Move in to Haljack One of, Burnley or Sunderland for Georgian star

Otar Kiteishvili of Sturm Graz is reportedly being pursued by Leeds United, Burnley, or Sunderland.

Next season, Sunderland, Burnley, and Leeds United will all compete in the Premier League. The Black Cats won the play-off final on Saturday, and LUFC defeated the Clarets to win the championship on goal differential.

When the summer transfer market opens, all three teams will be looking to bolster their rosters, and they should all have solid ideas about the individuals they want to recruit.

One of the three sides is reportedly interested in Otar Kiteishvili, a standout for Sturm Graz.

The Georgian offensive midfielder is being pursued by Burnley or Sunderland, according to Austrian news source Krone, one of Leeds United’s rivals. Despite having two years remaining on his contract, the 29-year-old is anticipated to depart the team this summer.

The fact that one of the recently promoted Championship teams is “being discussed” as Kiteishvili aspires to transfer to a top league is all that is known about who is interested in him.

It’s unclear which of LUFC’s teams—the Black Cats or the Clarets—has their sights set on the midfield player, since a move to a new team appears to be imminent before the summer.

Kiteishvili is who?
As a young player, Kiteishvili attended the Dinamo Tbilisi academy and established himself in his hometown by scoring 23 goals and dishing out 33 assists in 126 appearances for the team in all competitions.

In 2018, he secured a transfer to Sturm Graz in Austria, where he has been ever since. Although his primary position is number 10, Kiteishvili has also played left flank and worn the captain’s armband on few occasions.

In 42 games this season, he managed 13 goals and five assists, and in 227 games altogether, he has scored 53 goals and provided 38 assists for the team. In addition, Kiteishvili has played for Georgia 47 times.

LUFC is in need of an offensive midfielder, and Kiteishvili would be a compelling choice. Additionally, Burnley has made a number of astute international acquisitions in recent seasons and isn’t afraid to bring in seasoned players.

Kiteishvili, 29, may not be at the top of Sunderland’s list since they like to select younger players, but they have also made room for more seasoned players since Regis Le Bris was hired.
