Aberdeen have signed highly rated Australian custodian Nick Suman, who will join after his contract with Cove Rangers expires. Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin describes new signing Nick Suman as a keeper with “a commanding presence” and a track record of clean sheets. Suman, an Australian stopper, has signed a pre-contract with the Dons and will join them when his current contract with Cove Rangers expires next month.
Thelin believes Suman will bring “healthy competition” to first-choice Dimitar Mitov, the Scottish Cup final penalty shootout hero. The 25-year-old is Thelin’s second signing of the summer, having already signed Australian winger Nicolas Milanovic from Western Sydney Wanderers. Aberdeen beat off competition from other clubs to sign Suman, who impressed during his two seasons at Cove Rangers.
