According to TEAMtalk, Leeds United is one of the teams interested in acquiring Stoke City wonder Emre Tezgel, who is having a historic summer in his early career.
With his Stoke contract expiring next month, Tezgel, 19, is at a crossroads and there is a lot of conjecture regarding his future.
The Potters are attempting to sign Tezgel to a new deal, according to sources. Negotiations are becoming more difficult, nevertheless, due to high bids from English teams Leeds United, Turkey, and another, as well as interest from an unidentified Scottish team.
Tezgel, who attended Stoke’s academy, had long been predicted to be a star. In 2024–2025, he made 17 appearances for the first squad and scored two goals in the Carabao Cup.
Some of Europe’s top players have expressed interest in the England Under-20 international due to his speed, finishing, and flexibility. Although Tezgel’s talent is still evident, his lack of Championship minutes has fueled his desire for regular senior duty. Chelsea and Manchester United were previously interested in him in 2021.
According to TEAMtalk, Tezgel’s Turkish ancestry from his father’s side of the family and his ability to play for the Turkish national team are what are rekindling Fenerbahce’s long-standing interest.

Seeing Tezgel as a dynamic addition to their Premier League survival hopes, Leeds, who made a serious push for him in 2022, are now again in the running. His choices have been further expanded by the entry of an unidentified Scottish club.
Tezgel is one of Stoke’s best prospects, which motivates them to want to keep him, but the chance to play overseas and interest from other English teams have complicated discussions. If Tezgel doesn’t sign, his contract is about to expire and he might go for little money, something Stoke is want to prevent.
