Dundee reportedly given permission to speak to David Healy as manager search intensifies.

The Linfield manager earlier refuted rumours tying him to the Dens post.

Dundee has been granted permission to speak with Linfield manager David Healy, according to reports in Northern Ireland.

The Dark Blues are looking for Tony Docherty’s replacement following his dismissal on May 19.

According to the Belfast Telegraph, Dens chief John Nelms has reached out to the manager of the NIFL Premiership champions to discuss potential possibilities.

Windsor Park FC has also offered him a new contract.

At Linfield, Healy won six league crowns, an Irish Cup, and two League Cups. He has also been named Manager of the Year in Northern Ireland four times.

He earlier denied speculations that he was heading to Scotland to speak with Dundee.

On May 21, he told BBC Sport NI that he was neither going to Scotland for a job interview or to attend the Scottish Cup Final.

“I contemplated a change last summer [moving to Raith] because I didn’t know where I stood, but hopefully with the success this year, going forward we can build on that.”

After talks with Raith Rovers last season, Healy signed a new deal with Linfield until 2026.

Healy is Northern Ireland’s all-time best scorer, having represented Manchester United, Preston, Leeds, and Rangers.
