“A £10 million gem and an error by Evan Ferguson” – A perfect score for every Brighton transfer this summer

As Brighton & Hove Albion gets ready for the 2025–2026 Premier League season, they have experienced another hectic summer transfer window. While newcomers included Charalampos Kostoulas, Stefanos Tzimas, Maxim De Cuyper, Tommy Watson, and Diego Coppola, established players like Joao Pedro, Pervis Estupinan, and Simon Adingra departed for new challenges.
Pedro completed his £60 million move to Stamford Bridge, but of course, a Brighton transfer window would not be complete without a significant departure to Chelsea. Paul Barber, the CEO, stated last week that “we were able to negotiate very hard with our friends at Chelsea and get the best possible deal.” You will inevitably have to deal with the same club again from time to time. It may not happen as frequently as it does with Chelsea, but it is a typical occurrence.
Additionally, some significant loan decisions have been made, most notably the season-long transfer of Evan Ferguson to the Italian powerhouse Roma. For £30 million on a five-year contract, the Greek striker joined from Olympiacos. Brighton is said to have outbid several top European teams for his services, and Albion is quite excited about his potential. Despite only being eighteen, he appears to be physically prepared for Premier League football. Fabian Hurzeler will be hoping to get the most out of Brighton’s potential superstar. 8/10. Picture
In replacing of Pervis Estupinan, the left defender came from Club Brugge. Fabian Hurzeler has commended the Belgium international’s inventiveness after seeing him play in preseason. On the left side, De Cuyper will want to establish a strong relationship with Kaoru Mitoma. The 24-year-old appears to be a good addition and ought to be prepared to join the first team right away. 7 out of 10. After five excellent seasons at PSV, the French defender arrived on a free transfer, so this appears to be a wise move. Alongside Van Hecke, Coppola, and Dunk, the 27-year-old will contribute further defensive expertise because of his experience in the Premier League and Champions League. Hurzeler is also given the opportunity to go three at the back by him. 8 out of 10.
