Aberdeen fans fume as website ‘crashes’ amid rush for Scottish Cup Final tickets.

The Dons will face Brendan Rodgers’ treble-chasing Celtic later this month in a rematch of the 2017 final, with fans hoping to see Jimmy Thelin’s side win the cup for the first time in 35 years.

Aberdeen will be back at Hampden this month for the Scottish Cup Final

Aberdeen fans expressed frustration after the club website crashed after launching Scottish Cup Final tickets.

The Dons will face Celtic on Saturday, May 24, hoping to prevent the Hoops from completing a treble and winning the cup for the first time since 1990.

Jimmy Thelin’s side hasn’t had the best of luck against the champions this season, suffering a 6-0 defeat in their League Cup semi-final clash in November.

And now it appears that the fans are having more frustration trying to get briefs for the encounter after the club received a record amount following the decision to issue a 50/50 split to both clubs.

Aberdeen was initially offered 16,800 tickets, with a potential 2,000 if they sold out, but they declined because their 19,500 allocation for the 2023 League Cup final against Rangers sold out quickly.

The Dons also agreed to underwrite a larger allocation that includes the North Stand up to the halfway line, allowing as many fans as possible to attend Hampden.

However, website users have highlighted numerous issues when going to purchase their tickets this morning (Monday, May 5), citing errors in adding tickets to their bask.

Some users reported no problems receiving their briefs, while others took to social media to question why the website was ‘crashing.’

Aberdeen responded to the issue on X (formerly Twitter) with the following message: “Hello, we are aware of an issue affecting some supporters.

“If you have access to a Safari browser please try that and if not please contact ticketoffice@afc.co.uk if you haven’t done so already with the number of tickets you are looking to purchase, area and price types.”
