According to reports, PSG received a reaction from Bournemouth following their €60 million proposal for Illya Zabarnyi.

According to sources who spoke to TEAMtalk, Paris Saint-Germain is having trouble acquiring Illya Zabarnyi from Bournemouth during the summer transfer window.

Since January 2023, Zabarnyi has been a member of Bournemouth after joining from Dynamo Kyiv of the Ukrainian Premier League . With one goal and one assist in 86 games for the Cherries, the 22-year-old has subsequently established himself as one of the Premier League‘s top young centre backs.

TEAMtalk is aware that PSG has already made an offer and is interested in acquiring Zabarnyi in the summer.

A little over €60 million (£51.4 million, $69 million) has been offered for the centre-back by Luis Enrique’s team, which won Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, and the Champions League the previous season.

Bournemouth, meanwhile, seems adamant on demanding a better price for its valuable asset.

The Premier League team does not want to lose the 22-year-old lightly since they think Zabarnyi has a lot of promise for the future.

PSG is currently doing internal analyses to see whether raising their offer to meet Bournemouth’s demands is worthwhile.

With a long-term deal that runs until 2030, the French powerhouses have already reached personal terms with Zabarnyi and want to use this to weaken Bournemouth’s position.

PSG and Bournemouth are now unable to come to an agreement about Zabarnyi.

However, Bournemouth is making things difficult for PSG, who are obviously hoping to recruit Zabarnyi this summer.

Whether the two teams can come to an agreement and sign the Ukrainian player will be determined in the next few days.

The discussions are difficult at the moment since PSG, who are competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, and Bournemouth still have very different opinions about the Ukrainian defender.
