Graham Alexander relished the first preseason game at Broadhurst Park, when the Bantams triumphed 1-0 to make their comeback to BD8.
After gaining vital match minutes, it concluded the second training week. Most of his players, including most of the summer additions, played for 45 minutes.
“It was a nice way to end the week, and the game was very pleasing,” he remarked. Following the training session on Friday, we had a conversation about the game and how it functions as a training session.
“With their attitude and application, every single player ended a really good working week in the right way.”
Alexander also discussed the importance of establishing a winning mindset early in the preseason and how it might benefit the next campaign.
“To the players, it is a football game, but to us, it is about producing winners, and even though it is pre-season, we need to start doing that now,” the City manager continued.
“We must start doing the right things on the training pitch and carry that over to the pitch, and we must have the will to win.”
“It has been a really worthwhile experience, up against some good people, a good team, and a great setup.”
