Leeds United appear to be on the approach of signing a huge forward reinforcement as they prepare for life back in the Premier League.
According to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport (via Football365), the club has agreed to pay around £19.6 million for striker Nikola Krstovic from Serie A side Lecce.
Last season, Krstovic had a great campaign with Lecce, demonstrating the physical presence and work effort required of a Premier League attacker.
Leeds consider him as an important addition to their team as they seek to maintain top-flight stability in the coming season.
Leeds United reached an agreement with Lecce.

Despite the two clubs agreeing on a transfer fee, the deal is not yet official because personal agreements between Leeds and the player have not to be finalized.
The biggest challenge now is getting Krstovic to accept a move to England. The striker allegedly wants to stay in Italy, where he has adapted well.
Leeds are working hard to change his mind, preparing a “good wage package” and initiating direct conversations with the player’s representation.
The club is hopeful that the allure of Premier League football, along with an appealing financial offer, would convince Krstovic to commit to a future at Elland Road.
Krstovic has still not made a decision on his future
If the player is convinced to join, he will most likely play an important role in the club’s attacking setup next season.
Daniel Farke is aiming to add depth to his team this summer, and despite Joel Piroe’s solid performances last season, the attacker lacked cutting edge and efficiency in front of goal, which is urgently needed in the Premier League.
Krstovic is a player that contributes more than just goals. Leeds would benefit from his ball control and ability to bring others into play.
