As Steven Gerrard makes a Leeds United claim live on television, Simon Jordan remains steadfast.

If Leeds United defeats Plymouth, who are already headed to League One, they will win the Championship title on Saturday, but Daniel Farke’s future is still up in the air.

Following the Whites’ elevation to the Premier League, legendary manager Jose Mourinho is one of the people who has been linked to a transfer to Elland Road ahead of the upcoming campaign.

Ao Tanaka, Willy Gnonto, and a brace from Largie Ramazani gave Leeds a 4-0 victory over Bristol City on Monday, demonstrating their class once again.

However, 49ers Enterprises’ owners are still worried about Farke’s prior Premier League performance and may look to replace the German.

Gerrard would be a terrible addition to Leeds.

Even though there are only shaky connections between Gerrard and the Leeds position, the 49ers shouldn’t even entertain hiring the Liverpudlian as the West Yorkshire team gets ready for life in the Premier League.

The 49ers’ acquisition of the Ibrox giants is almost complete, and Gerrard guided Rangers to the Scottish Premiership championship in 2021.

However, the former Liverpool midfielder has since had managerial difficulties and was fired by Aston Villa in October 2022 following a dismal Premier League campaign.

His credentials were further undermined in January of last year when he was fired by Al-Ettifaq, a Saudi Pro League team.

Farke should be retained by Leeds nonetheless, since he is expected to lead them to a Championship title-winning 100-point haul this season.

Gerrard, however, would undoubtedly be a major downgrade on the 48-year-old, who has failed to establish his value since departing Rangers in 2021.
