As the Rams make a $7 million striker offer this season, John Eustace must remember one important player for Derby County.

Although they have only revealed one new addition, Derby County is making progress in the transfer market and are very close to agreements for two seasoned players.

Carlton Morris was officially signed by the Rams on Thursday, and it is anticipated that Andreas Weimann and Danny Batth will be the next two players to arrive at Pride Park.

However, Derby is considering Patrick Agyemang, and John Eustace is still eager to strengthen his front line. The 24-year-old USA international may soon be travelling to England after Tim Howard explained what makes him so exceptional.

Before the weekend, ESPN claimed that the Championship team had put in a $7 million (£5.1 million) bid for the striker. But after a challenging first few months in black and white, Eustace must remember one other player.

In 2025–2026, Lars-Jorgen Salvesen will significantly affect Derby County.
In January, Lars-Jorgen Salvesen left Norwegian club Viking FK to go to the East Midlands for an estimated £800k, according to BBC Radio Derby.

Compared to Jerry Yates, who is expected to depart Swansea City this summer, the towering striker made an immediate impression when he arrived, while the Rams were fighting near the bottom of the Championship.

Salvesen scored his lone goal in a 2-1 loss to Cardiff City during his eight Championship outings for Derby. But he missed the conclusion of the campaign due to a knee injury he sustained during training.

Eustace will be eager to play as the first of numerous preseason games approaches, having only played the Norwegian three times before losing him to that injury.

The Rams appear to have resolved their striker issues.
Unquestionably, the Rams lacked a forward edge in the previous year, and Yates was relied upon to score goals while others failed.

He scored ten goals, but Derby needs several attackers who can score ten or more, and because Morris has already been signed, Agyemang will be the ideal person to assist him. Salvesen, though, will also be waiting for his opportunity.

If the 29-year-old can stay healthy, Eustace will have resolved his striker issues from the previous season in the first few weeks of the summer. He has a lot of experience and does pose an aerial danger.
