Ashley Young return to Watford rated at 50-50 after talks.

According to the Watford Observer, a proposed deal to bring Ashley Young back to Watford is currently rated at 50-50 odds.
National reports linked Young to a homecoming earlier today (Wednesday), and discussions between the Hornets and their former player have been ongoing throughout the summer. More: Watford should push for Ashley Young to celebrate at the Rookery End again.
Young, who is currently a free agent after leaving Everton, would love to return to his boyhood club if the right deal could be reached, but a move is far from imminent.

Watford will only sign the former England international if head coach Paulo Pezzolano decides he wants to work with him, not because of his reputation as a successful academy graduate. Young turned 40 last week, but Everton’s medical staff assured Watford that he is in good shape.

Young left Vicarage Road over 18 years ago, after playing 110 games for the club, scoring 22 goals and playing a key role in Aidy Boothroyd’s famous promotion in 2006.
He went on to play for Aston Villa, Manchester United, and Inter Milan, winning Premier League and Serie A medals as well as several other trophies, and he represented England 39 times, including the Three Lions’ run to the 2018 World Cup semi-finals.
