Due to the Newcastle United and Liverpool transfer controversy, the asking price has been raised to £60 million.
In an attempt to deal Newcastle United a further transfer setback, Brentford have increased their asking price for Yoane Wissa to £60 million. Even though Alexander Isak was always thought of as Callum Wilson’s replacement at St. James’ Park, the setback has implications for his future. Deals for Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Hugo Ekitike have all fallen through, and Toon officials have been searching for a striker all summer.
Will Osula is the only natural striker available for selection, hence no progress has been achieved. Isak has made it known that he wants to join Liverpool, but he still keeps down tools. The Reds have already had one offer of £110 million turned down, but they are still interested. Liverpool is believed to have held off on making a second bid until Newcastle signed a replacement. The Magpies haven’t made any headway in the market, though. Isak might have left when Benjamin Sesko arrived, but the former RB Leipzig player opted to join Manchester United instead.

Dango Ouattara, a forward from Bournemouth, was signed by Brentford, which many saw as the turning point in the Wissa story.
