Attempted murder arrest after car hits pedestrians.
The scene in Chapel Street, Luton on Saturday morning.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a car collided with several pedestrians.
Bedfordshire Police were called to reports that a white Fiat 500 had hit pedestrians on Chapel Street in Luton around 03:30 BST.
Two men in their 30s were taken to the hospital and remain there with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The arrested man was also detained on suspicion of drunk driving and remains in police custody.
Det Sgt Emma Janes said officers suspected the incident was related to an earlier altercation at Kumba Lounge, a nightclub on the same road.
“We know the area was very busy at the time of the incident and believe there may be others that were struck by the vehicle,” according to her.
A police cordon remains in place, and the road is closed from the Flowers Way junction.
Officers are looking for witnesses and information.
