“I was obviously ecstatic when I was called up for the World Cup qualifiers,” he told JFFLIVE. “I am eager to begin… Although I was born in Leeds, my roots are in Kingston, where both my grandfather and grandmother were born.

Throughout my early years, my dad exposed me to a lot of Jamaican culture because he was exposed to it himself.

“I’ve been working on my passport for a while, so I was thrilled to receive the call from the coach informing me that I would be attending this camp.”

Additionally, Cadamarteri talked about his discussions with players like Di’Shon Bernard and Jamal Lowe, who will both be hoping to qualify for the World Cup, and how helpful it has been to have them as teammates.

They truly wanted me on board, too, and they’ve been quite helpful, telling me all the wonderful things about Jamaica. I’m getting along well with the boys, had a good first session, and am excited for the remainder of the camp.

Wednesday supporters will be eager to see if their gifted forward is included right away when Jamaica plays Bermuda at midnight (UK time) tomorrow.
