Nick Powell has been confirmed as City’s tenth summer signing.
The former Manchester United £6 million man has joined after agreeing to leave Stockport.
The length of Powell’s contract has not been disclosed, although the T&A believes it will be until the end of the season to show his health after being disappointed by ailments.
Powell, who will wear the number 22 shirt, stated, “I’m very happy to be here. I spoke with Graham Alexander, who sold the club to me, and I am ready to go.
“The crowd here is a massive draw, having such large attendances in League One is a massive pull for anyone.”

City manager Alexander added: “Nick’s ability is undeniable, and he is determined to recapture the form he has demonstrated numerous times before.
“It is a deal that suits both parties, and we are looking forward to helping him enjoy his football and show his quality once more.”
Powell’s skill as a teenager at Crewe won him a glamorous move to Old Trafford. Despite scoring on his Premier League debut, he only made nine appearances.
He had time on loan with Wigan, Leicester, and Hull before joining Stoke in 2019, where he scored 28 goals over four years.
Powell signed a three-year contract with Stockport in 2023, but repeated injuries hindered his appearances, and he has yet to receive a squad number for the current season.
It is assumed that he will not play against his former team tomorrow night.
