Ben Foster says Nottingham Forest won’t make the Champions League, it’s all because of two things

The Reds have had an incredible season so far. Forest is currently in third place in the Premier League standings, but if Newcastle wins their match against Crystal Palace tonight, they will drop to fourth place.

Micah Richards defended Forest following Saturday’s 1-0 loss to Everton, but analysts from all sides are beginning to question whether Nuno Espirito Santo can guide the team to the Champions League.

Other analysts have since made their predictions, and it seems that Forest supporters won’t want to hear Ben Foster’s evaluation of the team, as he has generally been positive about it during the 2024–25 season.

On his most recent edition of the Cycling GK, the former Premier League goalie talked about the Champions League spots that are up for grabs, and the Forest supporters won’t be happy about it.

Given that Newcastle and Aston Villa have both won their past four Premier League games this season, he thinks Forest will now suffer two straight losses.

“I really believe that Forest dropped out,” he stated. Villa will accomplish it, I believe. In my opinion, Newcastle is on fire right now, and Forest will eventually run out of gas.

“Isn’t it an incredible opportunity to play in the Champions League? With those five spots up for grabs, it feels really important for those clubs to secure a spot this year, even though it’s not now or never.

The Reds will have had nine days to push the reset button on their successive defeats by the time they visit Tottenham on Monday and a huge performance is needed.

Forest must continue, and perhaps Espirito Santo can return the squad to its core strengths and resume its season-long success.
