After a £207 million transfer spree, Benjamin Sesko is lacking a piece from a strong Manchester United lineup.

According to what talkSPORT understands, they have put in a new bid of £65.1 million plus £8.7 million in add-ons to RB Leipzig for Benjamin Sesko. Newcastle submitted a club-record proposal of £70 million plus add-ons, but United is certain the 22-year-old want to move to Old Trafford. Sesko would join Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo earlier in the summer, making him Ruben Amorim’s team’s third attacking addition. The two signed contracts worth £62.5 million and £71 million, respectively, but United will spend £207 million on the Leipzig player this summer.
United only managed 44 Premier League goals in the previous season, which left them wishing for more offensive capability in the 2025–2026 season. TalkSPORT.com has examined what the United starting lineup would look like for the 2019 campaign, given that Sesko may be poised to sign. Andre Onana’s hamstring injury sustained during training has kept him out of the preseason. According to talkSPORT, United is interested in adding Senne Lammens and Emi Martinez as goalkeepers. The majority of their preseason games have seen Altay Bayindir start, but Onana is expected to resume his starting position after recovering from his injury.
