Birmingham City told Alfie May to Huddersfield Town decision is “ruthless” – “I feel for him”

Birmingham City told Alfie May to Huddersfield Town decision is “ruthless” – “I feel for him

The Terriers have agreed to pay £1.2 million for the 32-year-old’s services, according to an exclusive report from

Football League. The transaction was confirmed Tuesday morning.

After Charlton Athletic moved to St. Andrew’s last summer, the striker left the Second City team after just a year

because of concerns about playing time after the Blues were promoted to the Championship.

Football League World’s Birmingham City fan pundit, Jason Moore, believes the move is the correct one for all

parties involved.

Birmingham City commended for Alfie May transfer decision

“Even though I adore Alfie, it’s the right choice,” Jason said. “Kyogo Furuhashi was just brought in, and Jay

Stansfield is standing in front of him. There’s an argument that Lyndon Dykes is also ahead in the pecking order.

“Although I believe Alfie has the potential to succeed in the Championship and he certainly deserves a chance at the

division, these owners must be merciless given the club’s goals and their desire to reach the Premier League as soon

as possible.

“He’s simply not good enough if we want to compete at the top of the Championship and enter the Premier League,

which is what they have stated is the aim.

“Alfie always seems like a right laugh when he’s interviewed for the club, and he’s a great character in the locker

room. You think that he’s just not good enough, even if he seems to comprehend what the club is all about.

Seeing Alfie play last season made it clear that, despite my love for him, he was a League One goal scorer, if not

more. As a football player, I never really thought he would be so amazing.

“I believe it’s the best course of action for him. Since it was the main reason he left Charlton, he can relocate back up

north with his family.

He will be guaranteed playing time and receive a respectable contract to join Huddersfield. He will be Huddersfield’s

main guy. Last season, he wasn’t our primary man.

He will most certainly not be our main man this season. Therefore, it is absolutely the appropriate thing to do.

Despite my sympathy for him, I believe it’s best for everyone.

Alfie May should be a great addition for Huddersfield Town

As soon as the summer transfer window opened, Huddersfield Town made their intentions known by hiring a lot of

players and hiring Lee Grant as manager.

With the Terriers signing one of the most lethal League One goal scorers from the previous season, May might be the

most significant addition to yet.

Last season, the 32-year-old helped Birmingham to a record-breaking 111 points with 17 goals and 9 assists in all

competitions.
