Blackburn Rovers fans mixed reaction to Tyrhys Dolan signing for Espanyol, a club that shares owners with Burnley
At the end of the season, Dolan was given the opportunity to extend his contract with Blackburn Rovers, but he chose to leave the team in order to consider his options elsewhere.
Although it was thought that Dolan would sign with Middlesbrough, the 23-year-old wanted to look at his possibilities overseas, therefore this move never happened.
Despite this, Bristol City continued to pursue Dolan, even though it was obvious he wanted to relocate overseas.
It is now official that he will be relocating to Barcelona in order to play football for Espanyol in La Liga.
Fans of Blackburn have now expressed their opinions over his decision to leave the team and relocate to Catalunya.
Fans react to Tyrhys Dolan’s move to Espanyol
Tyrhys Dolan, a former footballer who signed his first professional deal with Blackburn Rovers in July 2020, was thanked and bid farewell on social media.
After that, he played for the team for five years until deciding to relocate to Spain to play for Espanyol. Fans have expressed their opinions on his decision, and the most of them have been critical.
One fan commented: “Ty, adiós. On your way out, avoid getting hit on the ass by the door. In January, he will return to England on loan. At least not to Burnley, I hope. He is not even close to meeting La Liga’s standards.
Another fan shared this sentiment as they said: “What is this all about? Tribute posts to a lad who clearly thinks very little of Blackburn Rovers; he couldn’t wait to get out! What has happened to my club? Oh well, at least we have the memories of yesteryear.”

One fan said: “A club owned by the Burnley owners, brilliant.”
While another said: “He’ll be at Burnley before long with them being linked now.”
However, there were a number of fans who thanked him and wished him all the best for the future.
One fan said: “Class, well done, Ty, and all the best.”
Tyrhys Dolan follows the path of former Blackburn Rovers favourite
This is not the first time Blackburn Rovers have lost a player to a La Liga team at the end of their contract.
The attacker signed with Espanyol after the Lancashire club was unable to retain him due to the lure of transferring to Barcelona.
Ben Brereton Diaz, however, left Blackburn to join Villarreal on the last occasion.

Only six months after joining, the Chilean international departed the team to go on loan to Sheffield United, ending his time in Spain.
As Tyrhys Dolan takes on this new adventure, he will be hopeful that things in Spain would go differently for him.
