Blackburn Rovers reignite interest in midfield ace, but one ‘concern’ remains
The goal of Blackburn Rovers’ 2025–2026 Championship campaign is to place in the playoffs.
Valerien Ismael is making every effort to get his team ready for the games next weekend after missing the
penultimate day of the last campaign. There is still more work to be done, though.
After his contract at Ewood Park expired this summer, Tyrhys Dolan joined Espanyol, and Middlesbrough and Derby
County like Callum Brittain.
Players must be brought in, since depth is needed at several areas, particularly centre midfield. After a move for him
earlier in July faltered, Blackburn has now returned their focus to a previous target.
Blackburn Rovers are seeking deal for Moussa Baradji
On 11 July, the Lancashire Telegraph reported that a deal for Moussa Baradji had stalled, although there was
uncertainty behind the reason.
Talks between Blackburn and Swiss team Yverdon Sport, as well as the midfield player, are still underway, according
to Alan Nixon.
Nixon stated: “Blackburn Rovers and Swiss team Yverdon Sports are resuming negotiations for midfielder Moussa
Baradji.” After Rovers discovered a foot issue during a medical, the French-Malian player made an unexpected
comeback over the weekend.
Because Baradji’s fitness is still a question and may require a layoff, Rovers aim to reach an agreement on a pay-as-
you-play basis. Baradji is eager to get moving and adhere to their injury management strategies.
