This summer, Blackburn Rovers will have to fight to retain onto the forward as there is rumored interest from other teams. He must make a significant choice about his future at Ewood Park when his contract with Rovers expires in late June.

As of right now, Dolan, 23, is scheduled to become a free agent because he has not signed an extension. This season, he has made 47 appearances in all competitions, 44 of which have been in the Championship, where he has contributed seven goals and six assists.

Earlier this month, EFL Analysis reported that he and a few other unidentified domestic clubs were interested in signing with Middlesbrough, a team in the second division. Riverside Stadium is still run by Michael Carrick.

According to reporter Nixon’s most recent update on his condition, other foreign teams are now also interested. We don’t yet know who the new suitors are.

Blackburn Rovers finished the 2024–25 season in seventh position, two points outside of the last playoff spot. On the last day, they drew 1-1 away against Sheffield United.

Dolan will be extremely difficult for Blackburn Rovers to hold onto. If he left Rovers, especially on a free transfer, it would be a huge blow.

He is a vital member of the team he joined in 2020. In January, he was connected to Swansea City, but Wales Online rejected the connections.

As a child, Dolan played for Manchester City, Burnley, and Preston North End. In order to gain experience, the latter leased the Manchester-born player to Clitheroe in the non-league.

He might be able to help Middlesbrough’s attacking lineup. They were eliminated from the playoffs, much like Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn Rovers will have the opportunity to add some new players when the next transfer window opens, as well as release some players to make room for reinforcements.

It is currently unclear if Dolan will stay with the team any longer, as he will be thinking about his next move now that moving abroad is a possibility.

Rovers manager Valerien Ismael, who was chosen to replace John Eustace in February, will want to add his own touch to the team.
