Blackburn 1-0 Everton | Pre-season highlights
Everton’s preseason friendly against Blackburn Rovers will be streamed live from Ewood Park, with score updates and commentary available.
Hello and welcome to the ECHO’s live coverage of Everton’s second preseason game in preparation for the 2025–2026 season.
Following their Tuesday night journey to Accrington Stanley, the Blues will return to Lancashire on Saturday at Ewood Park to play Blackburn Rovers.
As was to be expected, their first friendly of the summer was full of rust. But Beto used the penalty spot to equalise in the second half, ensuring Everton’s efforts at Wham Stadium finished in a 1-1 draw.
The game will provide the team’s youthful players another opportunity to convince manager David Moyes of their worth. At Accrington, Harrison Armstrong was outstanding from the start, and Justin Clarke and Isaac Heath both had an effect as second-half substitutions.
Moyes’ team ought to be stronger than it was on Tuesday. Idrissa Gueye, Jordan Pickford, and Iliman Ndiaye all resumed training this week and are expected to play, along with newcomer Mark Travers.
Thierno Barry, who participated in the European Under-21 Championship this summer, will not be playing because he is still on vacation.
Everton’s new away uniform, which was well welcomed when it was shown this week, will also make its debut in this game.
Chris Beesley and Joe Thomas will be present at Ewood Park for the kickoff today at 3 p.m. (BST). Stay tuned for live response, goal updates, and build-up.
