Blades-Bound? Star Admits ‘Strange’ Feeling as Exit Draws Near
Oliver Sørensen, a target for Sheffield United, has acknowledged that he plans to leave FC Midtjylland this summer.
The midfielder acknowledged in remarks made by Ekstra Bladet today that a move might be imminent this summer.
They clarify that there have been prior stories in Denmark that clearly indicate Sheffield United’s interest in Sørensen. They traveled to Denmark multiple times to see him live because they were so enamored with him.
They are not the only parties expressing interest; German clubs are also involved, so he will have competitors come summer.
According to Ekstra Bladet, Sørensen and FC Midtjylland have both declared that they will trade him if the proper offer is made.
Sørensen is well aware that he may be spending his last days at the club where he has spent his entire career, having risen through their youth ranks to the first team and made 126 appearances in all competitions to date.
Sheffield United may be among those putting in a bid for him.
It’s a little unique. That’s all I know at the moment because I’ve been with FC Midtjylland for ten or eleven years,” he remarked.
“It’s all right. Leaving is a part of football. You are surrounded by a lot of events. If you decide not to proceed, it is also the case.
“You must be able to cope with it and remind yourself that football is what counts right now. Right now, I have to concentrate on the U21 European Championship. For me, I believe everything is going well. That’s fine with me.
Championships have been won. Fortunately, as a senior player as well as a young player. It will therefore be odd when my time is gone.
Additionally, I believe that I will likely feel melancholy as we approach what is currently going to happen.
