DAY OF BIRTH: THOMAS MYHRE

Myhre joined Everton when he initially arrived in England in 1997. He replaced the elderly Neville Southall as their starting custodian right away. For several years, the Norwegian goalie was always the first choice, but Paul Gerrard took his spot due to an ankle injury. Even though he won the Championship, his contract was not renewed when it ended in June 2005. Myhre briefly returned to Norway before joining Charlton and then rejoining Viking, his previous club.
