Brad Spencer a Hearts transfer target as analytics flag ever-present Falkirk hero to Derek McInnes.

Spencer played every minute of Falkirk’s Championship-winning season and is expected to join Gorgie.
Hearts are keeping a careful eye on the ever-present Falkirk midfielder Brad Spencer. Spencer has been on the Jambos’ radar since the turn of the year. The 29-year-old was a key element in the Bairns’ championship run, as the only outfielder to play every minute. He served as captain for much of the season while Coll Donaldson was injured for extended periods of time. Spencer has helped Falkirk win back-to-back promotions from League One to the top flight and is one of the best players in John McGlynn’s squad.
Derek McInnes, the new manager, is currently examining his squad and determining what he believes he needs. Spencer is one of the athletes recommended to him by his scouting staff and through analytics. Falkirk would consider selling if he received a good offer, despite the fact that he is nearing the end of his contract. Soufian El-Faouzi, an attacking midfielder for Alemannia Aachen, has also been mentioned.
McInnes has also identified his own targets, including Oxford United defender Stuart Findlay, who was formerly on loan at Kilmarnock. This summer, the Gorgie club has already made moves, adding Oisin McEntee, Alexandros Kyziridis, Chrisian Borchgrevink, and Elton Kabangu. They are also waiting to see if skipper Lawrence Shankland would sign the new three-year term that has been proposed.
