After several changes this summer, Brentford is currently undergoing a rebuild and is dealing with “big problems.”
After a number of prosperous years in west London, former manager Thomas Frank has joined Tottenham as their next manager.
On June 27, it was revealed that Keith Andrews would take Frank’s place at Brentford in an effort to carry on their success under the Dane.
The 44-year-old retired from playing for MK Dons in 2015, although he hasn’t occupied the top position in senior management yet.
The Irishman was trusted to advance to the management role after joining Brentford as their set-piece coach last year.
Regarding more possible departures, Manchester United has attempted to acquire Bryan Mbeumo but has not yet been able to meet Brentford’s asking price.
In other news, Christian Norgaard, the captain, is expected to sign a £15 million contract with Arsenal.
Brentford set for third-party investment
Borson revealed there could soon be a third party investing in Brentford as they look to undertake their summer rebuild.
After putting in a fresh proposal, former Old Trafford head scout Mick Brown told Football Insider that United is making a lot of effort to recruit Mbeumo and is still in “behind closed doors” negotiations with Brentford.
In recent days, a proposal of £62.5 million for the Cameroon international was turned down by Ruben Amorim’s team.
During the 2024–25 season, the 25-year-old made 42 appearances and recorded 20 goals and nine assists.
