Here are some of the recent headlines regarding Rangers and Celtic.
Rangers and Celtic are already looking ahead to what promises to be a hectic summer for both sides of the Old Firm. The Light Blues have entered a new phase with their acquisition by 49ers Enterprises and Andrew Cavenagh. Rangers now need to find a new manager and rebuild their playing roster before the Champions League qualifiers begin in July.

Celtic are seeking to capitalise on their Premiership and League Cup victories and keep their rivals under new ownership at bay. Here are some of the most recent headlines on Rangers and Celtic.
Celtic classified as ‘lowest league’
Former Celtic right-back Jeremie Frimpong has completed his expected transfer to Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen.
The Dutch international moved from Parkhead to the 2024 Bundesliga champions, and Leverkusen sporting director Simon Rolfes has claimed that the deal with Celtic proves their model correct, with an eyebrow-raising claim about the Premiership champions that buying from a ‘lower league’ is appropriate.
A statement read: “Jeremie is a wonderful example of the road Bayer 04 Leverkusen has successfully followed many times: importing a young, highly gifted youngster from a lower league, developing him into a key player to reach our aims, and making him appealing to big European clubs. Through this transfer, we can and will influence Leverkusen’s future roster. Jerry was a significant member on our double-winning team, and his unique style and great performances have made him a fan favourite. He now hopes to show himself in the Premier League with Liverpool FC. We all wish him the best of luck!”
