Burnley complete the signing of 14-goal forward – Confirmed

Following a successful loan spell, Zian Flemming has committed his future to Burnley.

Burnley have finalised the permanent acquisition of Zian Flemming from Millwall, following a spectacular season in which the Dutchman helped the team return to the Premier League. The 26-year-old attacking midfielder, who originally joined Turf Moor on a season-long loan, has now signed a four-year contract.

His achievements in the 2024-25 season not only helped Burnley win promotion, but also confirmed his status as an important member of the side. Flemming appeared 35 times in all competitions and scored 14 goals, cementing his place as one of Vincent Kompany’s most important players.

The future seems bright for Burnley and Flemming.

Flemming’s impact on Burnley’s promotion push cannot be understated. He primarily played advanced midfield, bringing creativity, poise, and a reliable end product to Kompany’s system.

His 14 goals were more than simply numbers; they were frequently decisive, converting potential draws into victories and energising Burnley’s forward play. Flemming’s presence was welcomed by a team determined to return to the top flight. His ability to find open spaces and deliver when it mattered most has garnered him praise both inside and beyond the club.

Flemming commented on his first year at Burnley, saying, “I’ve really loved my first season. On and off the pitch, it’s an incredible dressing room to be a part of, and I’m looking forward to the next years.”
