Burnley are at risk of losing centre-back CJ Egan-Riley this summer due to interest from Strasbourg.
According to talkSPORT, the defender is close to joining the French team after obtaining a five-year contract offer.
Egan-Riley’s current contract at Turf Moor is slated to expire in June, allowing him to discuss terms with potential new teams.
The 22-year-old was an important member of Scott Parker’s team last season, making 41 games in the Championship as the club achieved automatic promotion back to the Premier League.

When asked if Egan-Riley would be better off leaving or staying, FLW’s Burnley fan pundit Will Lancaster said that a move to Strasbourg would be a reasonable exit strategy.
According to TBR Football, he believes a move to another Premier League club would not make sense despite interest from West Ham, Brentford, and Brighton, but signing for Liam Rosenior’s team would be a wise career move.
“See, to me, this is a move that might make sense for CJ,” Lancaster told Football League World.
“He’s been associated with Premier League clubs such as West Ham, and I’m not sure if he’s ready to step into a very large team and command their defence.

“I understand that they’ve struggled defensively this season, and Max Kilman has been their sole good centre-back, but the Premier League is a different kettle of fish.
“And he’s untested there; he’s made a few outings for City but none for us in the Premier League, and even last season he was with Hibs and PSV’s young squad, so I don’t believe we expected this surge from him this year.
“Obviously, considering our defensive record, we’d be able to promise him first-team football. “But a transfer to Strasbourg would make more sense than a Premier League move.
