Burnley midfielder Han-Noah Massengo is waiting for AJ Auxerre to exercise a buy clause in his loan agreement with the club and sign him permanently.
L’Equipe reports that the French side has yet to decide on the midfielder’s clause. Massengo has been on loan with Auxerre since the January transfer window, when it became evident that he would not be part of Burnley’s plans for the remainder of the season.

That loan contract contains the option to make it permanent for €3 million, but they have yet to determine whether to activate it.
Since joining Auxerre, Massengo has made 17 appearances in Ligue 1. He has not scored or helped in them. It’s his second tenure at the club, having previously joined on loan from Bristol City, and it appears they have yet to decide whether to sign him permanently.
It’s a situation to keep an eye on going ahead, with the midfielder appearing to be out of Burnley’s plans as well, with the club possibly waiting to see what happens with Auxerre this summer.
