CAR COLLISION: Police appeal for information after crash on A41 near Watford.
Police are looking for witnesses, information, and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision on the A41.
On Saturday, April 5, at around 4.10pm, a white Kia Stinger collided with a grey Volkswagen Polo on the A41 (Otterspool Way).
A woman in her forties who was travelling in the Polo sustained serious injuries and was taken to hospital by colleagues from the East of England Ambulance Service.
Two men in their twenties who were in the Kia were arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and theft of a motor vehicle in relation to the collision.
One of the men was released on conditional police bail, while the other was later remanded for an unrelated outstanding court warrant.
Detective Sergeant Craig Wheeler of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said, “Our investigations are ongoing, and I am appealing to anyone with information to come forward.”
“Did you witness anything before the collision? If you have dash cam footage that you believe could be useful to our investigation, please upload it to: herts.police.uk/dashcamupload.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the public for their patience whilst we put road closures in place.”
Before the vehicle joined the A41, officers were authorised to pursue the Kia Stinger. As a result, the constabulary has referred the case to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
