A car carrying two children was taken from a municipal street, prompting police to flood a portion of the Potteries.

An automobile theft was reported over the weekend, prompting the force to rush to Broughton Road in Bucknall.

Two children were inside the car when it was stolen, according to Staffordshire Police, and it was still running. Now a

43-year-old man, of Stoke-on-Trent, has been arrested over the theft.

On Saturday, April 12, the alarm had been set off at approximately 10.10 a.m. Today, according to the force, the

automobile drove down Dividy Road before being abandoned at a car dealership, leaving the kids inside.

A spokesperson stated: “A man had stolen a 4×4 while it was still in motion. At the moment, there were two kids in

the car.

“On Dividy Road, the vehicle was driven onto a car store. The youngsters were left in the car when the driver got out

and fled.

“Officers used a dog unit to assist in their search for the suspect. A male was found nearby and taken into custody.

A 43-year-old Stoke-on-Trent man was then taken into custody on suspicion of drug driving, aggravated car theft,

and removing a child from lawful custody. “He has since been bailed with conditions while our investigations

continue,” the spokesperson continued.
