Celtic star set for Premiership loan move

Adam Montgomery of Celtic is scheduled to join Livingston on loan.

The 23-year-old, who has previously had loan spells at Queen’s Park, Aberdeen, St Johnstone, Motherwell, and Fleetwood Town, will join David Martindale’s side for the season.

According to the Daily Record, the left-sided player drew interest from England and Scotland before agreeing to join the Premiership returnees.

Montgomery, who has two years left on his Parkhead deal, will aid Livingston’s battle to avoid relegation.

The article also reveals that Livingston intends to sign Hearts midfielder Aidan Denholm and former Willem II striker Jeremy Bokila on loan.

Montgomery participated in pre-season with Rodgers’ first team and began the friendly against Queens Park.

He was also mentioned as a substitute in games against Cork, Sporting Lisbon, and Newcastle. Montgomery’s loan move marks his sixth temporary departure from Celtic.
