Champions League qualification: Who is most likely to win race and how many spots will Premier League teams have?

Arsenal will almost certainly join Liverpool, who have mathematically qualified for the 2025–2026 Champions

League. But which other Premier League teams will join them? At least five Premier League teams will compete in

With five Premier League teams assured of qualifying, the competition for Champions League qualification is fiercer

than ever. But which clubs are in the running?

With five more game weeks remaining, Newcastle in third place and Aston Villa in seventh place are separated by

just two points, making the race for the top five extremely close.

Liverpool have already wrapped up Champions League football for next season mathematically and Arsenal look

all but certain to join them with a nine-point buffer over fifth spot.

Aston Villa, Newcastle, Manchester City, Chelsea, and Nottingham Forest are fighting for the remaining spots behind them.

The five participating teams are now separated by just two points.

Despite their heartbreaking 4-1 loss to Aston Villa, Newcastle is still in third place; but, if Forest wins their next game against struggling Tottenham on Monday Night Football, which is broadcast live on Sky Sports, they might move up to the top of the table.

After their 2-0 victory over Everton, Man City moved up to fourth position, one point ahead of third-place Newcastle.

After their thrilling 2-1 victory at Fulham, Chelsea also moved up to fifth place, surpassing Forest.

With just goal differential separating them, Chelsea, Forest, and seventh-place Villa are all tied at 57 points.
