Clark Robertson keen to avoid more relegation heartbreak with Dundee defender out to stop rampant Hibs in their tracks.
The veteran centre-half knows all about the pressures of being in a team at the wrong end of the table and is determined to avoid the drop this season.
Clark Robertson has already been relegated once, and he is adamant that it will not happen again.
The Dundee centre-half was dropped by Rotherham United in 2021 and had a close call with Israeli club Ashdod last season.
The former Aberdeen defender understands the pressures of playing for a team at the bottom of the Premiership table. The Dark Blues are currently in 11th place.
Robertson believes Dundee can improve their league position, beginning with today’s match against Hibs at Easter Road.
The 31-year-old stated: “I understand how relegation feels and do not want to be in a similar situation again.
“And last year at Ashdod, we survived on the second to last day of the season.
“It came down to a game against Hapoel Tel Aviv at their venue, which we thankfully won.
“It was a stressful situation, but I’ve had plenty of them throughout my career.
“You’ll have to deal with it.”
“I want to finish the season as strong as possible with Dundee.

Celtic’s Luke McCowan and Dundee’s Clark Robertson battle for the ball
We need to look up now as well. That must also be a target for us.
“If we beat Hibs and the other teams lose, we’ll be right back in contention.
“We know it’ll be difficult because Hibs have been on a good run, but they’re bound to lose at some point, right? “Why not against us?”
Dundee defeated St Mirren 2-0 at Dens last week, as Robertson returned from injury alongside former Aberdeen teammate Joe Shaughnessy in his first game for the Dark Blues following a knee operation.
Robertson hopes their experience will benefit Dundee in the remaining games of the season.
He went on to say, “It was like going back in time with him.”
“We’ve a lot of experience and hopefully can use that to drag us through the situation.”
