Como share what Celtic did 24 hours before final pre-season game, plus Alex Valle with Hoops stars

Shin Yamada’s penalty in the shootout helped Celtic defeat Saudi Pro League team Al-Ahli in the play-offs on

Saturday night, securing third place in the Como Cup for Brendan Rodgers’ team.

The Hoops players had to make a short turnaround after Ajax crushed Celtic in the first game of this mini-preseason

tournament on Thursday night.

However, in the interim, the Celtic players and their rivals had a small gathering, and some well-known figures were

present.

What Celtic players did 24 hours before their final pre-season game in Como

It was unfortunate that Celtic was unable to advance to the final, as it would have meant a reunion with Alex Valle

and Nicolas Kuhn, as well as a matchup with Como, who was rising under Cesc Fabregas.

Instead, Como, Ajax, Celtic, and Al-Ahli players gathered for a “special evening of celebration, conversation, and

connection” on Friday, which was designated as “rest day.”

Como shared pictures of the players having a good time on social media, featuring Valle talking to Adam Idah and

Benjamin Nygren, Celtic’s recent acquisition.

‘During the Como Cup rest day yesterday, players and staff from all four participating teams came together for a

special evening of celebration, conversation, and connection,’ wrote Como’s official Instagram account.

‘A chance to meet familiar faces and experience the unique spirit of the tournament in the relaxed setting of Villa

Parravicini Revel. The Como Cup is an opportunity to enjoy the friendly atmosphere at the heart of the football

community.’

Celtic’s pre-season results ahead of St Mirren opener

It was a mixed bag from Celtic in pre-season, but overall, Rodgers should be pleased with how things panned out,

especially given that there are no fresh injuries to worry about.

That’s probably the worst part of pre-season, but only Stephen Welsh had some issues, and he returned for the

match against Al-Ahli.

Put aside the frustration over Celtic’s transfer business; it has been a positive pre-season for those in the green and

white colours, as the next stop is flag day against St Mirren on August 3.
