Companies facing trial over deaths of men at Norfolk factory

A year and a half may pass before two businesses accused of killing two men at a chicken factory in Norfolk go on

trial.

Both Air Products PLC and Banham Poultry Limited, which entered administration in October 2018, have been

accused with two counts of corporate manslaughter.

It comes after the deaths of two pest control subcontractors who worked at the Banham Poultry facility in

Attleborough: Neil Moon, 49, from Spalding, and Jonathan Collins, 34, from Watton.

Early on October 4, 2018, both were discovered dead.

Police at Banham Poultry Representatives for Air Products PLC, which is also facing one count of failing to fulfil its health and safety

obligations, and Banham Poultry Limited, which is also facing two health and safety violations, appeared at Norwich

Crown Court on Monday.

Judge Anthony Bate established a temporary six-week trial that is scheduled to begin on February 23, 2026, but no

pleas were accepted.

Together with the Health and Safety Executive, detectives from the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Investigation Team

conduct investigations that are followed up on by the prosecution.
