Concern Grows for Missing Blackburn Man Last Seen More Than 10 Days Ago

 

A growing sense of urgency surrounds the disappearance of Damien Berry, a Blackburn man who has not been seen for more than 10 days. The 34-year-old was last spotted at his home address in the town, and friends, family, and police are increasingly concerned for his wellbeing.

 

Mr. Berry was last seen in the Mill Hill area of Blackburn on the morning of April 18. Since then, there has been no confirmed sighting of him, and he has not been in contact with his family or close friends—something described as completely out of character.

 

Lancashire Police have now issued an appeal for information in a bid to locate Damien. In a statement released earlier this week, a spokesperson for the force said:

“We are growing increasingly concerned for Damien’s welfare. His disappearance is out of character, and we are urging anyone who may have seen him or knows where he might be to please get in touch.”

 

Damien is described as white, approximately 5ft 10in tall, of slim build, with short brown hair. At the time of his disappearance, it is believed he may have been wearing a navy blue hoodie and jeans, though police say his clothing could have changed since he was last seen.

 

Officers have carried out door-to-door enquiries in the Mill Hill area and have reviewed CCTV footage in the hope of tracing Damien’s movements after he left his home. Searches have also extended to nearby parks, footpaths, and public areas, but so far, no significant leads have emerged.

 

Friends and family have taken to social media to share their own appeals, with heartfelt messages describing Damien as a “kind-hearted” and “genuine” person who is always there for others. His sister, Emily Berry, wrote on Facebook:

“This isn’t like Damien. He would never just disappear without letting someone know. We’re all really worried. Please, if anyone has seen him or even thinks they might have seen him, contact the police.”

 

Local community groups have also mobilised to help, with several organising informal search parties and distributing posters throughout Blackburn and surrounding areas. Volunteers have expressed frustration and heartbreak as the days continue to pass with no news.

 

Lancashire Police have reiterated that any piece of information—no matter how small—could be vital in helping to locate Damien. They are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Mill Hill area around the time of his disappearance, or anyone with access to private CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from nearby streets.
