According to a recent report, Newcastle United has reportedly approached Chelsea about signing one of their peripheral players.
Cordero is announced by Newcastle, and they are pursuing more forwards. The Magpies are anticipated to have a busy summer as they try to assemble their team in preparation for a season that will feature Champions League play.
This summer, the club has already been linked to moves for Bryan Mbeumo and Liam Delap;
however, Delap has already joined Chelsea, while the Brentford attacker seems certain to join Manchester United.
There is some good news for Newcastle, though, as they announced Thursday morning that they had signed winger Antonio Cordero, who will join the team on July 1st after his contract with Malaga, Spain, expired.
Getting a UK visa and finishing the Premier League registration process are prerequisites for the transfer. Cordero, who is only 18 years old, played 60 games for Malaga, tallying seven goals and nine assists. He now calls it a
“true honor” to be a Newcastle player after his exploits in Spain earned him a transfer to England and St. James’ Park.
“It’s a true honor to be here, a true pleasure,
” Cordero said to the club’s media team. I like to set lofty goals for myself. Why not do it in one of the world’s greatest locations? “I’m here in part because it’s a significant step. I’m glad to do it and am eager to get started right away.”

The Magpies are moving quickly to the next target now that a deal for Cordero has been finalized.
Newcastle has reached out to Chelsea on the prospect of signing Noni Madueke this summer, according to Caught Offside.
Madueke is currently thought to be a major prospect, and it is unlikely that Chelsea will permit the winger to depart this summer, according to Caught Offside.
AC Milan is also monitoring his circumstances, and the Magpies have reached out to see whether a trade is feasible. The Blues are reportedly open to a deal if they receive an offer in the €60 million (about £50 million) range, despite the fact that they are not eager to sell.
It’s unclear if Newcastle will close the difference, though, as they value Madueke more at about €40–42 million (£33–35 million).
The England international played 32 games in the Premier League under Enzo Maresca and was called “unbelievable” by former Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino last season. However, with the players coming to Stamford Bridge, Madueke may find himself lower in the hierarchy and a move away could become a realistic option.
